Turkey prices are soaring this Thanksgiving as supply hits a 40-year low

The U.S. flock fell to 195M birds in 2025, down 3% from last year and 36% from the 1996 peak of 303M. Prices have surged 75% since Oct 2024, driven by the avian flu and supply chain stress.
